Last month, MaKayla presented her IRP seminar where she discussed the design of a bioinert and target-specific gold nanocluster cryoEM label. The ligand engineering platform discussed in this proposal could significantly improve localization and in-situ stabilization of biomacromolecules that have been notoriously difficult to reconstruct via intracellular cryoEM imaging.
